For this limited edition print, Birgir Andrésson rendered the layout of a turf house, as revealed in archaeological ruins. Turf houses, once common, remain an enduring symbol of old Iceland, although they have long since vanished, save for a few preserved as historical sites. Andrésson created what he called “house poems” by arranging multiple drawings of this kind on the wall, presenting them as one large, enigmatic poem connecting the deep past and present, visual art and literature.
