Andreas Eriksson is known for his subtly textured depictions of the natural world, hovering between abstraction and figuration, drawing the viewer into a rich conceptual investigation of nature and surrounding. With this work, Eriksson gives a nod to Icelandic artist Jóhannes Kjarval, an inspiration for Eriksson who resided in the rural surroundings of Selfljót, Iceland.
