Andreas Eriksson is known for his subtly textured depictions of the natural world, hovering between abstraction and figuration, drawing the viewer into a rich conceptual investigation of nature. With this work, Eriksson nods to Icelandic artist Jóhannes Kjarval, an inspiration for Eriksson, who resided in the rural surroundings of Selfljót, Iceland.
